Poor Performance at Home

I was finally able to upgrade my U-Verse at home to 12mb (don't laugh), from 6mb.  In testing with my UTM box, I can still only get 5-6mb downloads through Sophos.  If I remove the Sophos UTM, I get 12-15mb through the provided router.  I basically turned off every feature in Sophos and still get 5-6mb.  Any ideas?  This is my home setup:

    William - thanks for the message about QoS!!!!!  Problem solved.  I used QoS way back when for a Vonage phone and totally forgot.  That was it.  Thanks to everyone for the help here, I looked at every setting except that one.  Like most products, it was working the way it was configured to work[:)]  Thanks again!!

    Had the same issue with my Atom, it's pretty much the CPU/Board.  It will do fine with slower DSL, but you won't reach it without either severe tweaking and/or cutting back on services, IPS, QoS, etc are stingy with your networking needs.  

    I recently upgraded (in my sig) and without a doubt a very noticeable difference in response and speed.  Fairly cheap, as I stuck with an i3 processor, had a 500GB drive case and itx power supply.  I just had to buy processor, ram and board.  I'd suggest getting away from Atom, especially with how UTM will be upgrading, and you can still remain with a low power, cost effective system.

    i'm using the D2500CC with VDSL 10/50 and it works. With AV and IPS i get 4.4 MB/s  
    Thats ok for me.
