Dashboard Date Bug?

All,
I have been using Sophos UTM Home a few weeks now and am unable to determine the cause of what I am seeing.  I have searched Google and the forums and haven't been able to see anything regarding this topic, so I apologize if I missed it.

When I installed Sophos I ensured the BIOS date/time were correct and setup Sophos to not use UTC time.  Upon install and initial setup everything was fine however once I rebooted, the date on the Dashboard is no longer correct.  To me it seems it reverted back to UTC time but I have no idea how to change it back or why it randomly changed.  The logs, time settings, and everything else are correct, it is just the Dashboard that seems to be incorrect.

As you can see the time is correct, the date is not.  It seems to go forward a day maybe around 7PM everyday.

    Hi Scott,
    Those have been checked, double checked and even triple checked.  Everything but the Dashboard page shows the correct date and time.  It is just the Dashboard header that is wrong.

    Whenever you change the date in WebAdmin, you should follow the instructions there and reboot the UTM.

    I have had seen spontaneous apparent change in the time zone, so you might want to check the settings, Apply and reboot.

    It is a bug. Today being Friday the 5th of June, my UTM show Thursday 4th June 2015.
    I haven't changed the date/time parameters since this box was built many betas ago.

    Would somebody with support please raise it as a minor bug.[:@]

    Ian, up here on the topside of the world, I haven't seen this - the OP is the first.  Interestingly, his was a day ahead and yours is a day behind.  [:D]

    Hi Bob,
    I tried to see if the date would change by saving the date/time settings and then restarting the UTM.
    The dashboard is still showing Friday 5th June 2105 0823.
    The daily reports are generated at 0105 and the weekly config are generated at 0115.

    The calendar does show today being Saturday the 6th of June.

    I checked another machine down here in winterland and it shows the date as being Friday.

    I have set the timezone, etc multiple times and restarted with no effect.  Only the dashboard date is wrong.  Nothing else.

    I'm wondering if maybe there isn't some kind of BIOS bug.  Sometime since June 1, the HP 51s I use as a lab machine suddenly jumped ahead six (maybe it was 10) hours.  I tried to change the time in WebAdmin, but after shutting the box down to add more RAM, I once again had the advanced time in WebAdmin.  Once I changed the date in the BIOS, the problem disappeared.

    Hi Bob,
    okay, one UTM is a VM guest and the other is a real UTM.

    Forgot to add the VM host was powered off twice yesterday while a new NIC was added.

    It is definitely a UTC time issue with the Dashboard.









    As you can see, at 7PM Central Time, UTC is now June 9th.
