Put Sophos to the test.

1. What, if any, tools, programs, tricks, ect. can the user use against the UTM to bypass it? I am mainly interested in things that the average internet savy home user could come up with but I am willing to put Sophos to the test against any suggestion.

    But what would be the best way to implement Dansguardian without virtualizing or introducing new hardware? There are no options outside of those two that I am aware of. Could Dansguardian possibly run on something like a Raspberry PI (even though it only has one eth)?

    I use to run dansguardian as Squid proxy plugin switch itself was an add on to IP cop its possible simply to add it as part of a proxy or plugin

    I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that, I played around with Squid and SafeSquid before discovering Astro's solution but wouldn't Sophos have to support that as a plugin to do it all on the same box without virtulization? Does Sophos support 3rd party proxy/plugins like that? Also I was not aware Dansguardian had been used as a plugin and I have not the foggiest about where to go to find said plugin. (I had also looked into the ipCOP/Dansguardian solution a bit over a year ago now)

    You are overthinking things....Sophos isn't going to use DG..they are going to use their proprietary proxy and that's it.  Yes i'd like to see them integrate something like DG's technology...but no it isn't going to make it into UTM anytime in the forseeable future..[:)]
