Will Astaro Remain Free Forever For Home Use?

When Astaro was bought by Sophos, Angelo or another of the Astaro founders posted to this forum that they intend to keep offering the home user version for free.

Of course, nothing is guaranteed.

Nonetheless, you won't have any problems while your license is still valid.

I've been using Astaro since 1.6 or 1.7, and I don't see anything to worry about.

If something does happen, there are a few free alternatives, although features vary somewhat.

True but if anything happens there is other good products out there like astaro with endpoint protection?

no but there's plenty of free/highly affordable endpoint packages that don't require sophos utm to function so that's nothing to be really concerned about.

Just trying to prepared in case something happens so I know what antivirus I will go with next. You never know really what will happen.

Yea true but not much on good free endpoint protection sadly.

avg and avast have good free ones.

True but are they as good as the business endpoints? Or what is the difference? Other than they ad you to death lol
