From ClearOS to Sophos UTM Home Edition

Currently I use ClearOS 5.2 which is a bit old, as my home gateway.
Since version 6 seems unfinished, and I accidentally found out
that Sophos has similar free product, I'm curious if someone
replaced ClearOS with Sophos before, what are your experiences?

What are advantages/disadvantages over ClearOS?

    thank you for being so patient with this of topic series.

    I might be being a bit thick, but if I tell the webbrowser to use the proxy on port 8080, it will do so for any url that doesn't specify any other port, otherwise it would bypass the proxy?
    So how does this differ from the proxy only picking up port 80?

    Hi,
    If you tell the browser to use the proxy for HTTP & HTTPS, then ALL http/s traffic will be sent to the proxy.

    Ditto if you specify the proxy for FTP.

    If you try to use a service that's not in 'Allowed target services', you will be blocked with a "Target service not allowed" message.

    thank you for your help. I won't post my results here because they are in another thread where I asked a question about the proxy behavior, only to say the game now works.

    the browser gives some user information when uses proxy, even antiviruses can be configured with proxy for upadting 
    In cisco firewalls you have to do some routes and rules to redirect the traffic over IronPort-Web and IronPort-Mail. 
    Bob given some samples in one other thread ho to redirect traffic to port 8080 and is useful. But Astaro is Astaro and Transparent is to damn good

    Last week I builded up a AD Domain Controller and tested in profile mode with this order:
    1 internal sso - full access
    2 Internal Transparent - only google and hotmail
    everything worked like i designed it in papers first
