Astaro network drop - ifconfig \ dropped

I am running a 8.01 Asato complex config with 6 interfaces with about 60 LAN users that are doing "rooming profile and desktop and file redirection" from the LAN interface
To the DMZ interface (hint – a lot of requests from the users to the domain controller and all network interfaces are Giga speed)

This is a setup that is working for several months but from time to time we are having timeouts between the DMZ and LAN network that freeze the clients PC
But in the last 2 weeks this is happening several times a day maybe because of increased traffic load or different traffic patterns

If I do ifconfig I see dropped packets when the network is slow

What can be the problem? 

1) This is not hardware problem because we changed the astaro to a new hardware and had the same problem (very strong hardware 16Giga Ram on Dual INTEL CPU)
2) We tried to change the cabels,switches,update server network drivers but the main suspect is still the Firewall
3) The problem is very unpredictable and I can't reproduce it - it is just happening several times a day (timeouts and 1000ms ping DMZ  LAN)

    Since this is not consistent, it sounds like a hardware or compatibility problem.

    I've seen this happen before, for example, when a switch died, or when someone with a private router managed to create a loop. Are there any new devices in your LAN?

    What is the brand and model of your NICs?  Have you tried a lower MTU on the DMZ and Internal interfaces?  Fixed 1GB speed with both half- and full-duplex?

    Or, is there any correlation between the slowness and the hardware graphs in Reporting?

    I tried to replace almost everything on the network and couldn't find any problem

    The NIC is server grade Intel
    AOC-SG-I4 Supermicro 4-Port LP Gigabit Ethernet Adapter PCIE X8  (Intel® 82576)

    lower MTU – didn't try – will it help? What is the logic behind it?

    I was thinking to test it next time but I don't understand why this should make a difference…..

    MTU: You could run packet captures in different places around your LAN to see if you have a lot of rebroadcasts when you're having your problem.

    Speeds/-duplex: You might have a connection that sometimes keeps being re-negotiated.

    What about 'Reporting >> Hardware'?

    That does seem strange - 50% CPU and zero RAM usage?  But, that's not anything we can work with here.  The question would be the cause.

    Please show CPU and Memory graphs from 'Logging & Reporting >> Hardware', and indicate the time(s) of slowness.

    Good questions.  I don't know.  I don't have any clients with GB NICs in their own hardware - all with GB are on Astaro appliances.

    Don't you think that that would seem to indicate a problem with the NIC?

    There's something strange here.  Those top pictures indicate 100% CPU with no memory usage, yet the hardware graphs don't show CPU going over a few percent.  You definitely need to have your reseller submit a ticket to Astaro Support.  Please let us know what they say.
