Not Happy with Customization

The new blocked content page in v.8.001 is just plain AWFUL! Looks as if I went out and hired a 2 year old as a web designer. Could you please, please switch back to the old plain white one that accepts HTML code?! Or at least make that an option? All my intranet links for support are non-functional, and logo is poor due to the fact we can't even use transparent images as only .jpeg are allowed.

You know for the price of the hardware, plus the 1400 euro/year for "Support" we shouldn't have to look at anything with the word Astaro on it. I understand on the home licenses having your logo there to try and sell your product, but why on the enterprise solutions? Only tells the end user exactly WHICH firewall they are up against; thus, it creates a security threat on it's own! Please review your policies regarding this concern.

    Hi NevesNET,

    I understand your issue: You have a commercial license and you find the new design of the content blocked pages not suitable for your needs.

    You also name a few functional limitations of the customization:
    - transparent images not support, only .jpeg is allowed
    - links (or html in general) don't work

    Is that correct?

    Hi Daniel,

    Yes those are a few of the main issues. Previous version was much better suited for a commercial environment. You can clearly see this new page is lacking.

    That is not a standard Astaro block screen; someone modified it.

    The company text has been customized with a very long message. I just tested HTML codes on one of my v8.001 firewalls, and it works - both in the company text field, and in the customization messages. Adding some 
     line breaks to the company text should make a big difference in cleaning that message up. 

    I do agree very much with the need for png logo support. it is very hard to make a company logo look like it belongs on a textured background without transparency. Making background image/color configurable would probably be an adequate alternative.

    Thank you Alan,

    It looks a little better now that I was able to force bold black justified text. I did notice however, that when I go and change anything in the HTTP/S proxy customization and apply, the main company text in Global quits functioning properly and starts displaying the html code once again. Once you re-apply in the Global tab, it starts functioning correctly. I removed the logo for now, it looks a little more professional. The top cell on Content Blocked still doesn't fill properly, but I can't correct that, up to Astaro to do so.
