Has anyone had any luck purchasing an AP10 or AP30 for home use? The resellers I've spoken to so far have said they'll only sell me one with the paid wireless security subscription, which I don't need due to my home use license.
Hmm... I'm a reseller and have no problem with selling them to home users, so long as they understand that the home license does not include any official Astaro Support, other than this forum.

The reason that resellers don't want to take time with home users is that the time and effort necessary to process the sale costs more than the profit on an AP 10 or AP 30. Also, most resellers specifically avoid the hobbyist market.
After having helped one person here, I have a friendly suggestion for those of you in the US that can't get a quote from your local reseller because you aren't a business user or prospect.
The list prices in the US are $130 and $275. If you want one for home and you aren't already a business client of an Astaro reseller, I suggest you pick one out and organize with the reseller for you to pay in advance. Add any applicable sales taxes and $25 for shipping and handling. The reality of business is that paying any less will cost the reseller money to help you. This is a break-even deal for the reseller, so many probably won't want to help you.
Bruce and I and the other resellers that post here probably will help you, but that's out of our committment to this community - not because we'll cost-justify our time. You shouldn't expect any support or other consideration.

I completely understand home users would be lowest on the totem pole when you have paying business clients. Working for a small start-up software vendor myself I know how much attention we would give to a home user, if we had them. I certainly appreciate your willingness to help out those of us who are pure home users.
- I am in Singapore.
- I am willing to buy those APs (That Device is from Senao / Engenius it seems)
- But as mentioned before, over here while there is a Singapore Astaro Office, willing to pay also wont get it.
- Any advice on how I can get it?
