Does it seem to anyone else that Astaro is moving towards supporting only it’s own hardware appliance market. It seems to me when I look at the HCL it’s not listing much new hardware and it also seems that more posts point to simple things like SATA drivers and such.
If this is the trend it’s troubling when you have purchased 3 or 5 years of support to think that if your firewall died you might not be able to recover because none of the new hardware you could purchase would be supported. One of the strong points of Astaro was the fact that with a good backup it was a pretty quick and simple thing to fix a downed firewall by simply grabbing an office PC and loading it.
