usb gprs-umts(nokia 6630) modem

hi everybody ,
I would like to connect my nk6630 to ASL to browse the net
and don't wont use if possible a dialer as another computer
(I do not have more space in my room),
need something like my old D-LINK DP602 to connect the dial-up modem but for usb support (in) and rj45 (out) to ASL with
masq.
The only solution at this moment for me is putting another computer between the mobile-phone and ASL.
Please there is anyone to help me to resolve this problem.

Does anyone can help me to connect my usb mobile phone to ASL by some hardware (not another computer) to surf the net ?

hi micio,

there are projects in the net how to build rj45 to serial adapters wich could be configured so that you can use an analog modem in the lan. i'm sure, there are projects for building rj45 to usb adapters so this may solve your need.
asl can use a serial port and there are serial to usb cables but such cables are working just in windows os and you'll need to install a driver to get them work - so i think this won't work.
i think the only real working solution is to use an old windows machine as modem and configure ics and connect the wan interface of your asl to the ics machine.

yes I know this , but if possible , I don't wont use another computer with win or linux in for secure problems ;
I look for a cable or hardware machine to translate usb protocol to rj45 or com port protocol.

hi ,
after long time to look for some router with WAN port (the inline port) USB I don't know what can I do to connect my
cell-phone to ASL without use another computer as dialer.
Does anyone can help me , I need a router with IP management and USB WAN-port.
Any help should be appreciate.

so at last I understand that there is no router to support my
Nokia 6630 , my problem is: how can I connect my mobile
phone to ASL (5.203) ?

USB isn't supported on ASL. May I ask why you want to do this anyway? Can't you buy a cheap dialup modem and use that via serial port to connect to the net?

As I posted above, Microgram sell serial to USB converters.
