Additional licenses for home

Between me and my four roommates, we're using 9 of the 10 home licenses.  We all have laptops, but there are also xboxes and tivos in the house.  I just bought the antivirus/surf protection bundle for 10 users, and I would gladly pay for any additional licenses.  Does Astaro offer additional licenses for home users?  A 5 or 10 pack?  Can I just buy another 10 user bundle?

    I tried this and they quoted me $300 for the first 10 lic....I have 14 things on my network but can't afford that kind of lic.  [:(]

    Yeah, apparently there are a few of us "power users" that have quite a few IP enabled devices on our networks, but not enough for Astaro to care.  In the past certain "Power users" were able to get 50 user licenses and such if they participated in the forums, but I think that is gone by the wayside, and was only a select few with 1000 posts or so... it would be nice if they would again, its not like they really have anything to lose... I doubt that we are lurking here to score a corporate license for our workplace instead of paying for it legit.
    My subscription is up in April... I think it is a great product, and I wanna be legal, but I can't afford a $300 license for my home per year, + subscription.

    The free license they gave out for large forums contributors was a free year's sub to the home users bundle for v5/v4.  It is still 10 users.  Before v5 came out i did recieve a power user license that has unlimited ip's but no a/v or anything else.  That license i used until Astaro graciously gave me the home users bundle.

    I thought this was the case, and ,unfortunately, it seems as if I'm right.  For those of you with multiple addresses from your ISP, you could always just get some linksys/dlink/netgear router and have your appliances (tivo, xbox, etc) use those as the gateway and save the surf/AV protection for your actual computer systems.  It's an option that I may go, but it's another $70-100 I would rather spend on more Astaro licenses...

    I must say sadly that I am going to be leaving Astaro this weekend due to the lic. issue. I have found something else that works just as well but does not have the lic. limitations.  Yes I know it is just a warning now that we get (and i am tired of the 3 e-mails a day) but my fear is in the future they will lock it down.  Time to move on for me.... [:(]

    Out of curiosity, what are you going with?  I've looked around myself and I've found a few solutions that work, but they aren't as complete as Astaro...

    It is also possible to connect a cheap NAT router to the Internal network originating from your ASL box via its WAN connection. The cheap NAT router will then give you an additional subnet in the home that you can stick a bunch of machines on, while just consuming one Astaro IP license.

    you're right, but i think there should be a real reaction from astaro because there are a lot of home user who are ready to pay a realistic sum for a licence upgrade. and really - what are 10 ips today? like others say - xbox, laptop, pc, etc. and it's growing.
    i can't see a problem - i mean there are suscription packs vor vp and so, so why not a licende upgrade for home user?

    here here.  10 ips just is too little.  i would have no problem in paying a resonable sum for an additional 10 or 20 ips

    Astaro's policy of giving away 10 user home licenses for a product that is otherwise sold commercially, is as generous a home use policy as you'll find in the software industry today. But you want more. Isn't that what we all want, more for less?

    I don't see the point in complaining. Astaro has to draw the line somewhere. Ten is not a bad number. Other companies won't give you even that much for free.
