[8.940][CLOSED] Up2Date problem

Sure, no problem... First post here on this forum, so forgive me if I post in a wrong place. Just trying to be constructive/helpful...

About up2date:

I checked and double checked in the Webadmin before posting in de WebAdmin and this is what I get:

Firmware
Current firmware version: 8.940013

Your firmware is up to date.

This panel shows the currently installed firmware version. If a later version is available for installation, you can update to the latest version by clicking the Update to latest version now button. Alternatively, you can review and install individual firmware updates in the table below this pane.

Available Firmware Up2Dates
There are no Up2Date packages available for installation.

Automatic firmware download is enabled. When new Up2Date packages are released, they will be automatically queued for download. Depending on the size of the packages, the available bandwidth and the server load it can take some time until the packages have been downloaded completely and are available for installation.

I had this problem with one VM too.
In Dashboard it shows 'new update available' but in Up2Date he didn't show me an avalable Update. That was Version 8.940013.

I downloaded the Up2Date Package from FTP ....

Shame on me I have no Logs. I will try to reproduce it or see if I have a Snapshot on that machine.

My vm only shows 8.940 and says it is up2date. NO options available for the subsequent up2daes..even if i manually install them nothing happens.

My vm only shows 8.940 and says it is up2date. NO options available for the subsequent up2daes..even if i manually install them nothing happens.
I had a similar problem because I skipped the 8.940016 update and tried to update to 8.950 by installing two updates 8.940016 and 8.95002 by manually uploading to webadmin. The error I had in up2date logs was something like
can't find running version
.

I renamed /etc/version to 8.40013 and the update went without any further problems.

it won't install ANY updates. it went to 940 and won't go any further
