[9.265-8]Dhclient6 has died

Since using the Beta I get lots of these Messages in the IPv6 log.

2014:10:20-20:25:32 vpn-1 ipv6_watchdog[17175]: Interface ppp0 (24) changed RA flags: NONE -> SENT,RCVD,OTHER,READY

2014:10:20-20:25:33 vpn-1 ipv6_watchdog[17175]: Dhclient6 has died

IPv6 prefix is not assigned and Clients do not have access to the internet via IPv6.

Provider: Deutsche Telekom (Germany), Dual stack IPv4/IPv6.
New IPv6 IP and prefix is assigned at every reconnect by this provider.

Any hints to track this down?

edit: Problem still exists with 9.280-3, see page 2 of this thread.
  • To add some information here:
I worked with Sophos support on this.
    There are two bugs:
    - Prefix is not updated on reconnect
    - dhclient dies.

I guess both will be addressed with this mantis.

    Private Setup:

    • XG: HPE DL20 Gen9 (Core i3-7300, 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD) | XG 18.0 (Home License) with: Web Protection, Site-to-Site-VPN (IPSec, RED-Tunnel), Remote Access (SSL, HTML5)
    • UTM: 2 vCPUs, 2GB RAM, 50GB vHDD, 2 vNICs on vServer (KVM) | UTM 9.7 (Home License) with: Email Protection, Webserver Protection, RED-Tunnel (server)
  • The prefix is not updated because dhclient6 dies because there is no dhclient6.conf written for PPPoE so it fails to start at all.
  • Support created a config file by hand. Still the prefix is not being updated although dhclient isn't dying any more...
    They're investigating this issue now...

  • I can confirm: All my IPv6 problems seem to be fixed with 9.280-3.

  • Not all changes that were necessary have made it into 9.280, therefore my problem persists.
I was promised by Sophos support that the fix will be in 9.301...
