this may sound like a dumb question but when you switch to "standard" mode in the HTTP/S proxy, each of the client's browsers require configuration right...? they shouldn't work without??
However ma10wong, by "work" they can still surf if you have given them appropriate packet filter permissions to pass out on port 80 & 443. Since by doing so even without going through the proxy they will be allowed to surf purely unfiltered without restriction.
I'm pretty sure i've not set packet filter rules to pass traffic via ports 80 & 443... yet in standard mode, all my client computers can surf without configuring the proxy settings in the browser now?
