V7 ? are you sure you are not to fast ?

why a v7 when v6 is buggy ?

You should probably spend more time fixing thing before. Tips : work on the test you do before deploying update, User have enough to crash because of update. Astaro is for protection again downtime not to make downtime like a symantec product, now ?

    Hi,

    I don't have problem to receive notification also for executive report. But I do have a problem to see report's image. I think it's a incompatible client mail (I use Lotus 7.0.1) or misconfiguration of it.

    For Now, I have really more important problem, so I will investigate this problem later.

    It is Lotus Notes with the problem, not a problem with the emails. I have this problem daily with more than just emails from my firewalls, but also our network monitoring software, and a few others. You have to use another email client if you want to see the graphs.

    i personally think that the benefits of 7 outweigh some of the lesser important problems of 6.  I used version 6 and it wasnt that bad.  I will take stability in the core over problems in a report any day of the week.  Sometimes, it is better to improve something with a re-write.  Quite frankly, I am seeing huge performance gains in version 7 over 6.  If I am getting better performance from a beta product, I say bring on the release!  Leave 6 to die in the distance...

    How is v7 faster than v6?

    well.. i didnt say faster... i said performance gains.  but it does so happen to equate that way.  here are 2 ways it has improved (for me)

    1. consistent (yes i tested this a lot) higher speed results from speedtest sites... i really DO mean consistent.  I am getting an extra megabit.  This probably wont be the case for everyone but my average rate from my cable modem should be 10 - 12 Mbit since i pay for the higher tier.  I wasnt getting this with 6 in the loop.  I am now getting it with 7 in the loop.

    2. webadmin interface is much more responsive.


    im sure results vary for others, but those are mine.  huge thumbs up!!

    btw.. i just did a speedtest right now and got the following result:

    15141 kbps down, 705 kbps up

    those figures were impossible under my v6 setup.  I never got over 9000 kbps with that version.  15141 is a speed as if my PC was connected directly to the cable modem.
