Sophos Firewall: v19.5 EAP1: Feedback and experiences

Just deployed this FW.

Installed successfully. Is there a list of fixed issues?

V19.5 EAP1 is on the same fix level like V19.0 MR1.

what of the new features can you see and use in your installation and how much additional memory has it used?

the reason I ask is because as far as I can see very few if any of the new features add any functionality to none xgs customers.

So far great. Updated an XG125 and an XGS126. No issues to report. I have an existing SD-WAN profile in place, do i need to recreate it for Load Balancing, or can i just move it from 1st available to Load Balancing?

You can change the profile to use Load Balancing within the profile.

Just configure HA with Active Active with 4 HA  dedicated links and Active Passive with 2  HA dedicated links.

Configuration is so easy now no need to manually configure just select the ports for HA links.

On the 19.0.1-MR1 memory was sitting aroud 75%, the last 24h it averaged aroud 78% but has been climbing today to 87%. I will keep monitoring this.

I don't own a XGS and don't use HA, i have two WAN links and have these optimised  (SD-WAN profile) as failover for specified services/users.
I do appreciate the QoL Enhancement regarding searching for host and service objects.

Finally: i am using the home edition, want to help the community by adopting new versions and contribute as much as i can.

Logfiles will be stored in a gz file additionally in /log.

fwcm-heartbeatd.log-20220929_184327.gz for example.
