Hi,

a new version of SFOS is out:

SFOS 15.01.0 MR-3

My first quick test:

  • During update the connection table will be reset
  • VLAN bugs still still exists
  • Reporting bugs still exists
  • "Performance is orange" bug is fixed

    Yes, I have the error as well but only on IOS devices.  VPN client works fine.  The OpenVPN client app on IOS/Android was updated and broke several services including Sophos.  Though it appears to be a Sophos issue for the cert issues, we may also have to wait for a new IOS/Android app.  Lets see what the team at Sophos comes up with.

    Small things seems to be fixed. Lots of stuff not working correctly, or have been broken by this update!

    - USB 3G/4G failover seems to have stopped working completely on RED devices.(Was fixed before, back again)
    - SPAM Quarentine isnt working for email protection.
    - Email notifications to administrator from email protection malware detection stopped working.
    - Custom reporting (to get something like a global SPAM digest to admin) is totally screwed up.

    These are the big ones we are fighting with right now!

    Everything is being reported to Sophos support.
    But everytime we discover a new bug, they seem really surprised and requests remote access to the system.
    After some time they conclude it is a bug, and tells us to wait for next release...  :-/
    This WAS the next release, and now we just have new bugs!!!

    Nothing useful for me.

    I can't believe that breadcrumbs still don't work!   Even though every major appliance GUI has language selection, we're stuck with icons known only to the designers.

    And they still don't see the irony that the breadcrumbs use words...words that don't exist on the navigation icons, even in a mouseover.

    Dynamic DNS services are still limited.

    OpenDNS updates are still omitted.

    Makes you think they are protecting some kind of future paid service.  I haven't been able to track down the 'sophos' dynamic dns service...are they selling it somewhere?

    I'm going to roll a UTM appliance.  I'm tired of fighting the XG for basic things.

    The Astaro UTMs I have at work will never be seeing the XG firmware.  It's nowhere near ready for prime time.

    Not even good enough for home use.  Several month of no streaming media for iPhones?  They really need to keep this labeled as alpha.
