when will Sophos fix the buggy 17.5.4-1 Release?

Built-in email server not working. When XG sends an e-mail then we have a log message:
"SMTP QUEUED 127.0.0.1 ..... Email has been accepted by Device and queued for scanning. 18035" and nothing else happens. E-mail is not sent.

Messages I get are:

1. Up2Date Failed Failed to check for updates 18029
2. Appliance Fail to send mail : Cannot connect to mail server 127.0.0.1 : 24 17944

It worked before, but I have to check if something allows communication to 127.0.0.1 : 24 17944

By the way what do :2417994 is doing there ?

Try the internal IP Address under System / Admin / Notification instead of a FQDN if you have an internal mail server.

With 17.5.3 FQDN internal mail server worked for me, but not with 17.5.4.x

Strange case with XG 17.5.4-1: attempt to send an e-mail notification or config backup completed with the message "SMTP QUEUED 127.0.0.1 ..... Email has been accepted by Device and queued for scanning. 18035"   blocks log and reports for a few hours.    Restart needed ?

As far as I am concerned, I did reboot the appliance twice.

Updated to 17.5.5 MR-5.  Same problems.
