Under Web \ Protection (v16) or Web \ General Settings (v17) you may need to disable "Block unrecognized SSL protocols" and "Block Invalid Certificates"  even if you aren't using the Web Protection.

i have a sophos uttm9 sg550 model I have configured web protection for https sites with decrypt and scan I have created a rule inserting the site in this cin skip authentication caching block by download site, antivirus url filter, ssl scanning, logging.

there must be something else on the site that does not make it work, what can it be? a third-party certificate?

I can access the site. I am not using https scanning, so as you suggested looks like being a certificate issue.

Firefox doesn't use the Windows certificate store.  Chrome and MS browsers do.  If you want to install the certificate signing CA into Firefox, see here and use option 3.  community.sophos.com/.../115315

we can only use explorer

it opens in safari, very slowly.
