Sophos Update Manager (SUM) Password

Is there a way to test to make sure I have the correct SUM password? I fear I may not have the correct one and do not want to move to a new server before I know I have it.

    Hi Christian,

    Sorry but what do you mean "but not on the new one"? I have exported the registry key from the old server. That means I can skip the DataBackupRestore?

    Hello Jerry,

    if I understood you correctly you do not migrate the database and start with a clean install on the new server. Therefore all you need from the backup is just the CertAuth key (normally you can import it  by double-clicking or right-click/selecting on the .reg file)
