  • Hello John,

Yes that makes perfect sense, as when I go to add the device to the whitelist it says "IUSB3" is invalid.

It seems they just need to relax their input parameters to allow a greater range of devices, but probabably not that simple.

    Thanks once again.

  • BUMP!

    Daniel,

Did you ever get this working? I meant to reply back to this thread a long while back to say I got it working with some help from Sophos and some scripting on the client and backend. Sorry - it's been a hectic couple of months!

The KB has now been updated from Sophos and the all important HINT section might be the trick to get it working for you.

We had to sign and push the update, reboot the machine, and then run some scripting to force update the client config protect policies.

If you need it I can provide the basic scripts to automate it.

    Rgds,

    John

  • Hello John,

Yeah, that's the solution Sophos supplied to us in the end.

It didnt work initially, I worked the hint section out myself, as I found the device needs to be operational before the policy can be applied, otherwise is stays in a downed state despite applying the policy.

I have created a very basic automation script but I am sure yours is probably more comprehensive, so if it's OK with you, could I have a look?

    Regards
